Houston, Texas, April 20, 2009 – Environmental Packaging Technologies, Ltd. (EPT) located in the U.S.A. and Holland-based, De Rijke have announced the formation of a strategic partnership whereby De Rijke will be the exclusive European distributor of EPT’s BIG Red Products.

De Rijke has spent over a year researching and analyzing the manufacturing, performance and logistics of flexitanks as a possible addition to their wide range of products and logistics services.  “With the current market situation, everyone is looking for cost-efficient, but safe and responsible bulk packaging and shipping solutions.  The BIG Red Flexitank system met all of our performance requirements and gives us a cost-effective option to offer our customers, particularly in the chemical and beverage sectors,” stated Peter van Klaveren, General Manager Freight Forwarding, Maritime & Customs Department with De Rijke.

The BIG Red Flexitank™ system is made in the U.S.A. and consists of a re-engineered, high-performance flexitank; a multi-layer Barrier Wear Sleeve with an oxygen transmission rate of 0.001cc/m2; and proprietary bulkheads that provide unique shock-absorption technology whether shipping via road, rail or sea.
